The 2008 BMW Economic Development Challenge presented by the Upstate Alliance will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at The Country Club of Spartanburg.
The 2008 BMW Charity Pro-Am, will occur May 15-18 and will be played at three new courses.
Prior to the BMW Charity Pro-Am, the BMW Economic Development Classic will be held to benefit the Upstate Alliance Educational Foundation and SC Charities, Inc.
This is a special invitation for you to act on the upcoming 2008 event as space is limited.
Also included with your registration are two invitations to the Celebrity Ultimate Driving Challenge at the BMW Performance Center, featuring spectacular food displays at the exclusive, invitation-only event where guests will see celebrities and Nationwide PGA TOUR Professionals face off in various driving competitions.
As you consider this opportunity, keep these points in mind:
- You don't have to turn in player names when you purchase your team--this information can be submitted later.
- The $3000 is a charitable expense and may be tax-deductible, as SC Charities is a 501(c)3 and the Upstate Alliance Foundation is a 501(c)3.
- The Celebrity Challenge Event & Reception (included in the player package) is an exclusive event.
- Anyone can play! You do not have to be with the company paying for the team, nor do you have to be an investor in Upstate Alliance.
- The ED Classic makes a great client entertainment venue! In other words, our tournament provides an ideal "business development" opportunity for that special client who likes to golf.
- All proceeds will go to benefit the Upstate Alliance Foundation and SC Charities in 2008.
- Prizes will be awarded to each team member of the top three placing teams (Prizes will be selected by each winner from the tournament’s Upstate prize table and will range from $300 to $1,000 retail value)
- Six non-winning golfers will also have the opportunity to select from the Upstate prize table in a chance drawing held at the reception
